Guzmán's, Ester's son, diabetes story

In better control with his pump since 2010

Guzmán was only 6 when he developed diabetes. For the first 2 years, he was treated with multiple daily injections of insulin. It was a difficult time, as he hated to give himself shots. Then, the hospital suggested putting him on an insulin pump, and we quickly realized this was a much better, more comfortable way to control his blood glucose. Now, Guzmán does everything other kids do: swimming, basketball and his favorite sport, football. The simple truth is that the pump has improved life for the whole family.
